ANN BAILEY: When it comes to ice cream, it's all good

10.07.11

When it comes to desserts, ice cream is one of my favorites. Chocolate, vanilla and strawberry are tops on my list, but I don’t think I’d pass on most any flavor offered to me.

The form isn’t important; shakes, sundaes or on a stick, I like it equally. I also enjoy dishing up plain, old scoops from the carton.

One of my earliest memories of eating ice cream is sitting on the open, front porch at my mom’s house. In between bites, I’d recite the old television commercial that went something like, “You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream.

This is so delicious. Really, this is almost unbelievable just that you can eat without guilt. But it is real! Why? Well, I had the brilliant idea to freeze a smoothie. Yes, indeed, that I had not previously thought about. Now this is partly because my smoothies in general so likes, I do not have the patience to get them to freeze. Second, it is also true that I (still) no ice machine, so I just got this in a baking tray covered with plastic wrap frozen. And no, I have no picture. By the time I sat on the last bit of licking my plate, delicately remarked Husband: Would not you picture of your ice cream? That was indeed the plan. Nice bowl, strawberries and a sprig of mint there . . Napkin, spoon . . You know it. If it is smooth and homogeneous, pour it into a cake tin with a piece of plastic wrap you first draped in it. Maybe this step next time I put on top. ;-). Obviously, I now add some health claims by stating that this is suitable for vegans and you can sweeten it with stevia. I estimate it at about 20 drops of extract. Furthermore there are a number of buttons on my website partner companies I am. This means that if you ordered them through my website I get a small fee for you. Feel not obligatory, but if you do order: Thank you!.
