I bought this to replace a vintage '80s Hamilton Beach Disher that had the handle crack apart from too many times in the dishwasher. I'd recommend not putting this in lower rack of dishwasher or hand washing, too. It looks the same as my old disher but is lighter in weight and clearly not at all as sturdily made. The scoop is clearly glued on whereas the older models were welded. The metal is also thinner. Still, it's a good scoop and I would recommend it. Go with A or B. You can always trust Cuisinart. But that's not even the main consideration. It is just so much easier when you can put the container into the freezer for a day and not have to mess with packing the freezer with ice and salt. They will use A or B so much more.
