My wife bought this to replace a 1950's model hand-crank machine that we have been using about 5 or 6 times a year since we met, which was 13 years ago. It was given to me and I don't know how much it was used before that but I suspect quite a lot. The tub is made out of fiberglass, the cylinder stainless steel, the crank from steel and a rugged alloy of aluminum. The dash is made of wood and aluminum. We always make the same ice cream each time, mint chocolate chip. It always turns out very well. But it is showing some wear now, as you would expect...
